Everything was fantastic, from the food to the service, we’ll kind of. The only issue was that they charged for the after dinner drinks of limoncello and 2 other types of digestives that we had, which normally restaurants offer for free as a part of the service. Each shot was €5! I was surprised by this and disappointed because it makes this restaurant seem like a tourist trap. I don’t know if in Sicily it is normal to charge for such drinks because this is our first time to take such drinks in a Sicilian restaurant but where we live in Italy, normally those after dinner drinks are offered for free.
What a great dining experience at this family-owned restaurant! Best meal I had in Ortigia/Syracuse area. Great food, wonderful service, tables not close together nor on the street. Perfect.
I ordered the large roasted gamberoni, grilled veggies, wine, sparkling water, and the cover includes delicious bread. Worth every penny.
Amazing !!!!!! Such a beautiful restaurant! With a great service ! And such a food!!!!!! Music!!! Everything!!!’Especially thanks for the Familia Rizza! And Alessio Franco!🤌🏼🤗😘
This place is a true gem!
We struggled to find good food as we do not eat fish!
We stumbled upon this family run restaurant just off the main strip and we were not disappointed!
I had a parmigiana and carbonara, my husband a preffectly seasoned Caprese salad and the most delicious fillet of beef!
The owner is so friendly and clearly loves his business very much! He is a lovely man as was his son!
I'd come back tomorrow if I was in Syracuse for longer!

Walked in late our first night exhausted from all day travel and was met by the owner and his family that work and run this spectacular restaurant. Incredible atmosphere, great art decorations with open ceilings. We’re struggling to find a restaurant for our next dinner because the bar has been set so high from this establishment and the delicious, fresh Sicilian food we experienced. You will not be disappointed!
Good menu choices.
Capanata was very good.
Both main dishes were also very good: pasta, swordfish and mint; veal scallop.
Wine was good.
Food perhaps slightly over priced but not much.
Wonderful food and friendly staff. Tucked away in a private courtyard. The food is just as good, if not better, than the popular pasta restaurant around the corner. Highly recommend the pistachio kingfish pasta here - simply delicious! Homemade lemon cake is also a must. Not too rich and nice refreshing way to finish the meal.
Lovely family run place with great food and great people, but most certainly amazing deconstructed cannoli
